Without further ado, it’s time to reveal the winner of our Share the Love contest!
🌟 Congratulations to Maggie McVicar! 🌟
Maggie McVicar, Director of Communications at The Richmond Forum, shared her appreciation for the speaker database feature COLAB developed for their website—and her story left us inspired.
Here’s what Maggie had to say about the feature:

The Richmond Forum
We love the database feature COLAB built for our website. Prior to this project, our audience had been missing the opportunity to revisit the nearly 200 speakers we have brought to our city. With this new database, they can now easily customize their search, uncover our organization’s history, and relive the iconic moments and stories that define us.
Maggie will be getting $100 gift card and $1,000 toward a future project with COLAB! Thank you so much for your thoughtful entry.
How COLAB Transformed The Richmond Forum’s Digital Presence
Our work with The Richmond Forum went far beyond the speaker archive. The nonprofit leaned on COLAB to reimagine their website with the goal to extend their reac beyond in-person events. Here are just a few highlights of what we achieved together:
- Redesigned Website: We restructured the site to create a more intuitive experience for visitors, improving navigation and overall visuals.
- Enhanced Mobile Experience: Recognizing the importance of “at event” usage, we made major improvements for mobile users, ensuring audience engagement anytime, anywhere.
- Streamlined Backend: Leveraging WordPress’ block editor, we delivered a faster, more efficient content management system for their internal team.
This transformation helped further enable The Richmond Forum to pivot from their historic in-person model to a digital-first strategy. We are looking forward to seeing how they connect with broader audiences and engage a larger community in meaningful new ways. You can read the full case study in our Work section.
Why We Love This Project 💖
Working with Maggie and her team was truly a rewarding experience. It wasn’t just about building tools; it was about amplifying the Forum’s mission—to educate, inspire, and foster conversation. Seeing how these digital improvements have helped them expand their reach and deepen their impact reinforces why we love what we do.
Thank You for Sharing the Love!
To every client who participated in the contest, thank you for putting your heart into your entries. Your passion inspires us to continue raising the bar and creating tools that make a difference.
From all of us at COLAB, congratulations again to Maggie! We can’t wait to see how The Richmond Forum continues to inspire and engage. Here’s to more collaborations that build something exceptional together! 💕
